# Overview

Welcome to the Onboarded™ in Salesforce application. This managed package integrates your Salesforce org with the Onboarded™ platform, enabling seamless synchronization of employee, employer, client, and Workflow data.

## Package Capabilities

- Automatically syncs employee onboarding data from Onboarded™ to Salesforce
- Creates and updates records for Employees, Employers, Clients, Jobs, and Workflows
- Tracks onboarding tasks and form completion status
- Optionally stores signed PDF documents in Salesforce
- Provides flexible field mapping to match your existing data model
- Allows you to use your own Salesforce objects or the included custom objects


> **Flexible Object Mapping:** The custom objects included with this package (`Onboarded_Employee__c`, `Onboarded_Employer__c`, etc.) are entirely optional. You can configure the application to sync data directly to your existing Salesforce objects such as Contact, Account, Lead, or any custom objects you already use.


## Setup Checklist

Complete the following steps to set up the Onboarded™ integration:

1. Pre-setup items gathered (Client ID, user accounts, object decisions)
2. **State and Country/Territory Picklists configured** (if not already enabled)
3. Package installed from AppExchange or via CLI
4. OAuth authentication configured (Client ID)
5. Permission sets assigned to appropriate users
6. Integration user configured with proper access
7. Object mappings configured (package objects or your own)
8. Field mappings reviewed and customized
9. Sync toggles enabled for desired objects
10. Scheduled sync job configured


> **Important — State and Country/Territory Picklists.** Before installing the package, ensure that **State and Country/Territory Picklists** are enabled and configured in your Salesforce org. Navigate to **Setup** → search for **"State and Country/Territory Picklists"** to enable this feature. This ensures address data from Onboarded™ syncs correctly with standardized state and country codes. See the State and Country Code Handling page for details.
